Michelle Thorpe, age 47, of Cambridge died March 17, 2015 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital surrounded by family. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Spirit River Community Church in Isanti with Rev. Jim Crecelius officiating. A time for visiting will be held 1 hour prior to the service at church.
Michelle Joy Thorpe was born in Minneapolis to Vincent and Beverly (Willhite) Taylor. She grew up and attended school in Coon Rapids and graduating from Coon Rapids High School in 1986. She met Michael Thorpe in 1990 and they were married in 1991. They had 3 wonderful boys, Alan, Mitchell and Adam. They kept her busy with many activities. She spent many hours watching and supporting the boys in baseball, football, soccer and wrestling. Michelle has always worked various retail jobs, mostly at Dollar Stores. She also worked at White Castle for 10 years. Michelle was a member at Spirit River Community Church. She loved to volunteer and help anyone in any way she could. In her younger years she and Mike played softball. Michelle loved all crafts and painting ceramics and she enjoyed watching the Vikings.
Michelle will be lovingly remember by her husband, Mike; three sons, Alan (Jeanette), Mitchell and Adam; nine siblings; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Michelle died March 17, 2015 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her parents.
