Lindell, age 84, of Cambridge died February 26, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 2nd at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Larson officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Monday, March 1st at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery.

Marvin Floyd Lindell was born June 5, 1925 to Walter and Bertha (Keocher) Lindell at Bodum, Minnesota. Marvin was baptized and confirmed at the St. John Lutheran Church of Weber. He attended District 53 Pershing country school. During the war he began working for the Armour meat packing company in St. Paul, Minnesota. In October of 1946 Marvin was united in marriage to Frances Haglund at St. John Lutheran Church and they made their home in the Cambridge area.

He became self employed and purchased the Shell Station and continued with auto repairs when he started Marv’s Auto Repair both in Cambridge. While still doing auto repairs his love of farming ventured him to purchase a farm south of Bodum next to his birth place. His love for the outdoors, fishing, farming, watching the deer and birds feed and play on his fields brought him many hours of joy.

Spending every summer at lake resorts fishing and relaxing Marv and Frances reached their dream of owning a cabin on the east side of Mille Lacs Lake. Marv loved life and would say many times “If only I was young again, with a smile from ear to ear, there is so much to do, learn and enjoy”.

Marvin F. Lindell passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 21 days. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Oliver Lindell and Willard Lindell.

He will be missed deeply by his wife Frances of 63 years; two sisters, Loretta (Ronald) Olson of Cambridge, and Dianne Stahnke of Isanti; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Special thanks to Peoples Café that made him part of the cafes’ family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 27th at First Baptist Church in Cambridge. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Cambridge Union Cemetery.

Donald Winton Larson was born December 6, 1919 in Cambridge to Gunnard and Magda (Kron) Larson. He was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School, Class of 1937. Donald was a dairy farmer and had a herd of Gurnsey cattle. He lived his entire life on the family farm and beginning in the mid 1960’s he also worked at the Cambridge State Hospital for several years. Don’s faith was very important to him and he was an active member of First Baptist Church in Cambridge where he enjoyed many and various church activities over the years. His church was his social life and he would also be seen at many funeral services. Don was very much a Cambridge resident and only 1 or 2 times did he take a road trip with his brother, Gordon, that took him away from Cambridge. Donald’s nieces and nephews remember him as their fun uncle who made their trips to the farm enjoyable with the wagon and tractor rides. Don moved from the farm to his apartment in Riverhills about a year ago.

Donald died unexpectedly at his home on February 24, 2010 at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 18 days.

Donald is survived by his brother, Gordon of Cambridge; sister-in-law, Doris Larson of Isanti; and by nieces, nephews and by many other relatives and friends.

Rev. Michael William Richmond, Sr., age 70, of Stanchfield, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 23, 2010.
Mike was born in Waterloo, Iowa on June 8, 1939 to William and Myra Richmond. Most of his young years were lived in North Minneapolis. On September 6, 1958 he married Gail Lundquist and they began their life together in South Minneapolis. Mike spent most of his working years self employed in sales and service. At age 55 he started a new journey and entered Bethel Theological Seminary, graduating with a Master of Divinity Degree in 2000. During that time, and in the ensuing years of continued seminary study toward a Doctor of Ministry Degree, Mike worked as pastor with various church congregations. Between 1997-2009, Mike was called to minister several Minnesota churches located in Lakeland, Lake Elmo, Benson, Maynard, Cook, West St. Paul, Worthington and twice in St. Louis Park. God encouraged him to use his life’s experiences, successes and failures, to help church leaders who might be working through church conflicts and in need of a pastor gifted in administration. Mike will be sadly missed, but his earthly struggle with cancer is over and now he is with his Heavenly Father in all the glory that Heaven has to offer. We are forever grateful to friends, Roger and Gail, for leading us to a personal relationship with Jesus so many years ago, a decision that empowered Mike to eventually have a ministry to share with those in need.
Mike is survived by his wife, Gail, four children; Michael (Sue), Patricia, Scott (Kayla) and Charles (Ruth), six grandchildren, Rachel, Briana, Caitlin, Quinn, Hunter and Taelin, as well as his mother, Myra Norholm, brothers, Kristian (Mary), Jack and sisters, Randi (Edward) and Shelley (Jerry). Family members who have preceded Mike in death are his father, William, step-father (Kristian Norholm) and his sister, Marlene Henk.
