In Memory of Mary Bromwich
Mary Bromwich, age 76, of Cambridge died July 4, 2010 at GracePointe Crossing Gables West. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at South Isanti Baptist Church in Isanti with Rev. Robert Venneman officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 9th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Dalbo Baptist Cemetery.
Mary Ann Bromwich was born November 9, 1933 in Whitefish, South Dakota to Alfred and Elisabeth Ernst. She was raised in Winner, South Dakota. On November 10, 1952 she married Arthur Bromwich. They made their home in South Dakota for a short time and then moved to Coon Rapids, Minnesota where they would live for several years. In 1971 they moved to Cambridge and recently moved to Solbakken Assisted Living in rural Isanti. Mary was a member of South Isanti Baptist Church and enjoyed working with the children in AWANA. She loved the family activities and cooking for the family at the holidays, especially enjoying Christmas. Mary looked forward to time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting, crafting, gardening and her flowers.
Mary Bromwich died July 4, 2010 at Grace Pointe Crossing West Gables at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 25 days.
Mary is survived by her husband, Arthur of Isanti; 10 children, Gary Bromwich of Isanti, Rick (Teresa) Bromwich of Braham, Randy (Cheryl) Bromwich of Cushing, Oklahoma, Vicki (Thomas) Ferhman of Cambridge, Jeff Bromwich of Cambridge, Robby (Tammi) Bromwich of Watertown, South Dakota, Scott Bromwich and Pam Bergman of Cambridge, Lisa Bromwich and Travis James of Elk River, Brian (Melissa) Bromwich of Oldsmar, Florida, Melissa (Joel) Collins of Princeton; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Marge Zibell of Pierre, South Dakota; and by many other relatives and friends.
We are so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. We know that her faith & her family meant everything to her. Our prayer for you, her family & friends, is that you hold close your memories of happy times spent with Mary – and hold each other close during this difficult time.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. How time flies. It seems like just yesterday that we were little kids playing at the Bromwich house. We will miss you Mary.

We wish you strength in this time of sorrow. We know who much she was loved and such a little sweetie. You were blessed to have her in your lives. Her loss is a loss for the family and friends but a gain for her. She is home with her Lord and God to rest in his heavenly glow and warmth and love. All loss is hard but the loss of a mother is somehow worse as she was the nurturer of the family. She was the glue that holds the family together. Remember all the wonderful memories you have been blessed with through the years. Let the memories and God be your strength.

I am very sorry for the loss of Mary, she always had a way of keeping us in line when I was at both the houses, near Kranz Lake, between the Williams’ and Hancock’s, and then at the house by Skoogman Lake. I will keep all of you in my Prayers, especially Art, who always treated me like my dad. May God Bless!

We are so sorry for your loss. We have many great memories. One of my favorites is probably from Melissa’s wedding wearing the big green hat and giving my dad a hard time about cheating on the limbo. We will really miss Aunt Mary.
To all of you, I want to let you know how much Mary meant to all of us Ceglas over the years. I have such fond memories of the welcoming spirit she had whenever we were at her home. We felt like part of the family! And Mary made us feel that way. Though it is sad for me to think she is gone from this life, I know that her faith in Jesus has brought her to everlasting life in Him. She is rejoicing in His presence now. God bless each of you as you grieve in the loss of this wonderful woman.
We are sorry to hear about Aunt Mary. I will always have good memories of all the times you guys came to SD, and of when we took our “quick trips” to Minn. Dan liked to tease her and she took it very well. She will always live in our hearts. May your family be comforted in the knowledge that she is in the hands of the Lord.
