Don was always an encouragement to me while I pastored at First Baptist. I remember taking a group of teenagers to his house to put in our canoes at the river nearby. I will miss Don.

Helped Don bale hay when I was a teen growing up on North Main in the late 60's early 70's. Shot my first Grouse and Pheasant on his land and fished the river. He was a wonderful man! My condolences to the family.

Don was a sweet man and I will miss seeing him. Recently at Riverhills, but most of my memories will be seeing him at Ostrom's Greenhouse, the many community functions that he would show up at: fundraisers, school plays and concerts, christmas programs.....what a great example of staying active and being involved in spite of knowing people or age! He was great! He always made me smile!
