Peter Zierman Obit PhotoPeter Zierman, age 71, of Isanti died January 16, 2010 at GracePointe Crossing Gables East in Cambridge.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 23rd at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Howard Skulstad officiating.  A time for visiting will be held one hour prior to the service.  Interment was in Isanti Union Cemetery.

Peter Anthony Zierman was born June 6, 1938 in Minneapolis to William and Ida Zierman. He was raised in Northeast Minneapolis and graduated from Edison High School, Class of 1956.
Pete joined the Navy and was on active duty from 1957 – 1961 and then in the Navel Reserves until 1975. He then joined the Army and served in the Army Reserves from 1975 – 1990. Pete was a Minneapolis Police Officer from 1961 – 1986, retiring from the police force in 1986. He purchased a cabin near Long Lake in rural Isanti in 1972. His main interest was his passion for cars.

Peter passed away on January 16, 2010 at Grace Pointe Crossing East Gables at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 10 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristina.

Peter is survived by 3 children; Anthony (Liz) Zierman of Isanti, Linda Kolb of Perham, Steven Zierman of New Brighton; 2 grandchildren, William and Dominick; 1 brother, Fred (Susan) Zierman of Washington, DC; and by other relatives and friends.
