In Memory of Milton Harris
Milton Harris, age 43, of Cambridge died suddenly May 19, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, May 23rd at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Pastor Mark Radeke officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cambridge Union Cemetery.
Milton Virgil Harris was born August 19, 1965 in Gary, Indiana to Henry and JennieBell (Jones) Harris. He was raised and attended school in Gary. On April 18, 1998 Milton married Betty Rathbun and they made their home in Minneapolis. Five years ago they moved to Cambridge.
Milton was a very giving person. He was full of life, full of energy, and people loved being around him. He was a hard working person who always gave 110% to everything. Milton loved sports and playing cards. He also had a way with words and wrote many poems. He had a sense of humor and was loved by everyone who knew him.
Milton is survived by his wife, Betty and their son, Tayler of Cambridge; step-son, Camden Olson of Minneapolis; parents, Henry and JennieBell Harris of Gary, Indiana; three brothers, Thomas Harris, Jerome Harris and Moses Cummings; three sisters, Valentina Banks, Donna Hill and Patricia Gunther; and by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by grandparents; Henry Harris Sr., Deatriss Cartledge and Clinton and Icey Jones; by one brother, Roger Lee Cummings; and one sister, Maggie Lee Harris.
MY condolences go to the Harris family. Milton was a wounderful person. We had great times together in school.
Our condolences to Milton’s family. He was a wonderful man. He would always come in our store and give us an extra paper wearing a charming smile. He will be sadly missed by our employees.

I will forever cherish the memories we shared during and after we graduated from Roosevelt. You will be truly missed “Smoke”.
To Mr.& Mrs. Harris and Family, I pray God keep and bless you all at this trying time. I am sorry I could not be there with you all. But I thank God for knowing you all. You will be forever in my prayers.
