david-collin-obit-photo.jpgDavid Collin, age 50, of Isanti died May 15, 2009 at his home.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 21st at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti with Pastor Valerie Brown-Greenly officiating.  A visistion will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 20th at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.  Interment will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery.

David Laurence Collin was born August 15, 1958 in Braham to Laurence and Edna Collin. He was raised in Athens Township in rural Isanti. David graduated from Cambridge High School, class of 1976. He farmed and raised honey bees on the homestead family farm. He also helped his dad with their saw mill. David loved and was fascinated with trains. He was very mechanical minded and could fix almost anything. He was also a machinist and could take a block of steel and make the parts he needed.

David passed away at his home on May 15, 2009 at the age of 50 years, 9 months and 1 day. He is survived by his father, Laurence of Isanti; sister, Carol (Michael) Kruse of Cambridge; special nieces and nephews, Melissa (Peter) Anderson of White Bear Lake, Tami (Matt) Lindquist of Lino Lakes,  Michael C. Kruse of Cambridge, Joshua Zantec of Cambridge; and by many other relatives and friends.
