Marjorie “Marge” Reichel, age 75, of Aitkin and formerly of Plymouth and Isanti, passed away February 27, 2009 at Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 3rd at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Pastor David Everett officiating.  A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in Siloa Lutheran Cemetery in the spring. 

Marjorie “Marge” Reichel was born March 26, 1933 in Maple Ridge Township, Isanti County, Minnesota to Fred and Viola (Johnson) Norman.  She was baptized and confirmed at Siloa Lutheran Church where she also sang in the choir.  Marge attended school in Ogilvie.  She was married to Lowell Reichel and they had two sons, Tim and Terry.  Marge and Lowell, along with Lorraine and Lloyd Reichel, started Reichel Brother’s Meats and Grocery in Isanti in 1969.  In 1980 Marge moved to Plymouth and worked at Zurich Insurance until retiring in 1995.  This past September she moved to Golden Horizons assisted living in Aitkin.  She was an avid Twins fan and she also followed the Vikings.  Marge also loved to read. 

Marge Reichel passed away February 27, 2009 at Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin at the age of 75 years, 11 months and 1 day.   She was preceded in death by her parents and by two brothers, Raymond and Harold, and two sisters, Lorraine and Marlys.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons; Tim Reichel of Isle, and Terry Reichel and his wife Gail of Babbitt; two sisters, Bernice Nygard of Minneapolis, and Lucille Gabrielson and her husband Art of Ogilvie; two grandchildren, Christie Kelly and her husband Peter, and Craig Reichel and his fiancé Sarah; two great-grandchildren, Kellen and Payton Kelly; and by many other relatives and friends.
