darrell-anderson-obit-photo.jpgDarrell Charles Anderson, age 51, of Cambridge passed away January 11, 2009 in Cambridge.  Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 14th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with Pastor Darren Sedler officiating.  A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 13th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel.  Interment will be in Cambridge Union Cemetery.

Darrell Charles Anderson was born September 24, 1957 in St. Paul to Patricia and Donald Anderson, Sr. When he was four years old the family moved to rural North Branch. Darrell attended school in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School, Class of 1976. He then served in the Army National Guard for 2 years. Darrell married Jennifer Fottrell on December 28, 1985. They made their home in Fullerton, California until moving to Cambridge in October of 1990. Darrell was a self employed mechanic and also worked for his good friend, Red at Red’s Appliance in Cambridge. He was very family orientated and enjoyed being with his family and all of the family activities. He was also a good friend and was always helping someone out. Darrell also enjoyed gardening, cars, antique cars and antique bottles.

Darrell died unexpectedly while helping a friend in Cambridge on January 11, 2009 at the age of 51 years, 3 months and 17 days. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Anderson, Sr., by one sister, Deborah Anderson Banks and by his grandparents. Darrell is survived by his wife, Jennifer of Cambridge; daughter, Darci of Cambridge, son David of Cambridge; his mother, Patricia Anderson of North Branch; eight brothers and sisters, Don Weber and Claire of Rush City, Donald (Brenda) Anderson, Jr. of Isanti, Diane Anderson of Nevada, Dennis Anderson and Karin of Cambridge, Douglas (Patricia) Anderson of Isanti, Doreen (Dan) D’Aigle of Cambridge, Daniel (Melanie) Anderson of Cambridge. Dovette Anderson and Chuck of Blaine; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
