In Memory of Helen R. Williams
Helen Williams, age 71, of Cambridge died on November 26, 2008 at GracePointe Crossing West-Grandview Christian Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 2nd at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with a visitation held 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Dennis Calhoun will officiate. Interment will be in Acacia Park Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
Helen Rhea Williams was born September 17, 1937 in Oakes, North Dakota to Woodrow and Lydia Handy. She was raised and lived her early years in North Dakota. In 1957 she moved to Minneapolis and later lived in several places in Minnesota. In 1989 she moved to the Cambridge/Isanti community. Helen worked as a nursing assistant at both Cambridge Health Care Center and Grandview Christian Home. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, collecting recipes, sewing, knitting and watching the old classic movies and television shows.
Helen passed away on November 26, 2008 at Grace Pointe Crossing West – Grandview Christian Home at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 9 days. She is survived by her 5 children; Don Dusan and Teri of Maple Grove, Joseph Dusan of Minneapolis, Patricia Dusan and Mickie of St. Francis, William Dusan and Rubee of Anoka, Lori Dusan of Isanti; 6 grandchildren, Debra (Jason) Binczik, Celia and Kyle Tasler, Korrie and Jeremiah Johnson and Jessie Dusan; 3 sisters, Caryn (Alan) Nelson of Minneapolis, Diane (Earl) Petersen of Minneapolis, Joanne Lambert of Ohio; 1 brother, Frank Jacobson of California; and other relatives and friends.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Helen’s passing. We cannot know what it is like to loose a parent, but we do know whenever someone you love is gone, it leaves an empty space in our lives.
Please know that as you grieve we are thinking of you and honoring Helen’s memory. We hope you take comfort in the family and friends that surround you in this time of sadness.

Dear Patti,
Having lost my own mother a couple months ago, I know just what you are going through new. You were such a rock, giving me strength at that funeral. I hope I can in some small way comfort you tomorrow as you go through the most difficult day of your life.

From all of us at Elmhurst Apartments that was Helen’s home for so long, we were saddened to hear of her passing. Those of us that knew Helen, spoke of her often as we missed her after she moved and will now miss knowing she is no longer with us.
Personally, I know that losing a parent is extremely difficult. It matters not whether they were ill or elderly, they are still gone and they are deeply missed. I offer my most sincere condolences and prayers for Patti and all of the family during this time.
Helen will be with you always as she lives on in each of you! And as long as you remember your Mom, she is never really gone!
