In Memory of Raymond “Tim” Peterson, Jr.
Raymond “Tim” Peterson, age 54, of Bethel passed away October 30, 2008 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 3rd at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel with Pastor Bill Steinke officiating. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Athens Lutheran Cemetery.
Raymond “Tim” Peterson, Jr. was born October 8, 1954 at Moorhead, Minnesota to Raymond Sr. and Marie (Murphy) Peterson. He attended school in Dilworth, Minnesota until his family moved to Andover. Tim then attended Anoka High School followed by earning his Engineers License at Anoka Vo-Tech. He worked at Onan/Cummings Power Generation. In 1976 Tim married Frances Bremer-Lofback and they resided in Bethel. Fran passed away February 28, 2006 in an auto wreck that Fran and Tim were in, ultimately resulting in Tim losing his own life as well. Tim’s passion was stock car racing and he would travel all over the Midwest to attend races.
Tim passed away Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis at the age of 54 years and 22 days. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Sr. and by his wife Fran.
Tim is survived by his mother, Marie of Andover; two brothers, Rick Peterson (Barb Kindseth) of Andover, David Peterson of Andover; sister, Bonnie Olson (Nick Wolf) of Blaine; by nieces, nephews, Fran’s extended family, and other relatives and friends.
Tim, I will miss you very much, i liked to call him teach because he was allways trying to teach me something, he liked to kid around and pick on me but that was tim, i would pick right back at him. he was a very giving guy and would allways be there to sit and talk for hours. he loved to eat, when i would have holiday dinners he allways said how good they tasted(even if they didnt) if ther was a race to go to he was there, he loved racing. I would make him beef jerky for the holidays and bring to him, the first bag ended up missing so after that he would hide it so nobody could find it, he liked it very much. he has been through so much these past 3 years and katie cody and i will miss him very much. but he will never be forgotten.
Even though we know it is hard to say goodbye, but we will take comfort in knowing Tim will no longer suffer and he is now happy again with Fran and Raymond, Sr. and you know now they are back on the auction and flea market circuit!!!! Tim’s smiling face and sense of humor will never be forgotten.
