neil-l-johnson-picture-3.jpgNeil Loren Johnson, age 63, of Dalbo passed away June 20, 2008 at his home.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 24th at Salem Lutheran Church in Dalbo with Pastor Bill Pearson officiating.  A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 23rd at Strike Funeral Home-Cambridge Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in the church cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Princeton American Legion. 

Neil Loren Johnson was born to George Otto and Esther Hannah Marie (Westberg) Johnson at Princeton, Minnesota.  He attended school in Dalbo through the 8th grade and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1963.  Neil served his country in the US Army in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1971.  On September 5, 1981 Neil was united in marriage to Cynthia Lee Foote.  They resided at Neil’s family homestead in Dalbo for the last 26 years. 

Neil had a kind and tender heart.  His family was very important to him and he was a good husband and wonderful father.  Neil also had a good sense of humor and had many friends.  He enjoyed fishing, working on crossword puzzles and he was an avid reader.  He especially liked reading Louis L’maour books.  In recent years Neil really enjoyed woodworking, building things and working on projects. 

Neil L. Johnson’s sunrise was February 24, 1945 and his sunset was June 20, 2008.  He was 63 years old.  He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother, Darryl. 

Neil will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Cindy; daughter, Annie (Steve) Johnson of Isanti; sister, Tara Lee (David) Keller of Dalbo; by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
