alan-brotzel-obituary-pict-3.jpgAlan Brotzel, age 47, of Cedar passed away accidently in Mora on April 29, 2008.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 2nd at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in East Bethel with Rev. Brian Fragodt officiating.  A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 1st at Strike Funeral Home - Isanti Chapel and also 1 hr prior to the service at the church. 

Alan Leroy Brotzel was born June 6, 1960 in Ortonville to Frank and Eunice Brotzel. He was raised and attended school in Big Stone. Alan married Raenelle Tulowetzke on November 24, 1979. They have made their home in Oak Grove for several years. Alan was a self employed automobile mechanic working from his home until December of 2007 when he owned and operated Al’s Auto Repair in Mora. Besides his family, granddaughters and the family activities, he enjoyed fishing, 4-wheeling and he especially loved Ford’s.

Alan passed away accidently in Mora on April 29, 2008 at the age of 47 years, 10 months, and 23 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 1 sister and 1 nephew.

Alan is survived by his wife, Raenelle of Cedar; 3 children, Amanda (Brad) Hermanson of Isanti, Melinda (Shawn) Jaremko of Forest Lake, Brandon Brotzel and Bri Bloxham of Cedar; 4 granddaughters, Haley, Carly, Gabi and Analise; 4 brothers, David (Wendy) of Champlin, Frank (Marilyn) of Rochester, Dale (Nancy) of Washington, Marty (Kay) of South Dakota; 4 sisters, Lorretta (Joe) VanLith of Big Stone, Gladys (Ken) Phipp of Texas, Molly Stauffer of Wisconsin, Rose Sherod of Ortonville; and by many other relatives and friends.
