genevieve-grise-obit-photo.jpgGenevieve Frances Grise’, age 95, of Cambridge died March 20, 2008 at Northridge Group Home in Cambridge.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 26th at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge with Father James David Hahn as Celebrant.  A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the Mass at the church.  Greg and Mary Kuhn and Sister Francette Malecha will serve as musicians.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Travis Grise’.  Pallbearers will be Gary Burman, Rodney Grise’, Todd Grise’, Troy Grise’, Scott McLaughlin and Timothy Radebach.  Interment will be in the church cemetery. 

Genevieve Frances Grise’ was born February 27, 1913 at Wells, Minnesota to Frank and Mary Kasperek. She married Calvin Grise’ and they lived in several places until moving to a farm in rural Stanchfield in 1947. She joined Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge and has been an active member of the parish for many years. Genevieve was employed at the Cambridge State Hospital for 22 years. Besides her family and the family activities she also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and going to the cabin up north and fishing.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; great-granddaughter, Victoria Grise’; daughter-in-law, Mary Grise’; and by three brothers.

Genevieve is survived by five children, John Grise’ of North Carolina, Calvin (Kathleen) Grise’, Jr. of Montana, Joan (Robert) Radebach of Eagan, Donald (Marlo) Grise’ of Blaine, Thomas (Diane) Grise’ of Oak Grove; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Larson of Austin; and by many other relatives and friends.
