In Memory of Robert Hanold
Robert Hanold, age 64, of Braham died February 3, 2008 at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 9th at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Braham. A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 8th at Strike Funeral Home - Cambridge Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the Mass Saturday at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Robert Gustave Hanold was born June 29, 1943 in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was raised and lived his early years in Iron River, Michigan. Bob served in the Navy and Viet Nam from 1962 - 1966. After his Navy service he settled in Minnesota. On January 19, 1967 he married Teresa Ramirez and they made their home in Minneapolis. Bob worked at the St. Paul Ford Plant from 1968 -1998, retiring after 30 years. In 1979 they moved to Stacy where they lived until 1990 when they moved to a farm in rural Braham. Bob was a member of the Braham VFW Post, the Braham Moose Lodge and he drove school bus for the Braham Schools for 2 years. Bob bowled in Braham for Lee’s Pro Shop and he bowled in Isanti with the Senior League and he also mentored children in bowling in Braham. He enjoyed fishing and doing volunteer work with the Braham VFW. Bob loved the farm and all animals.
Bob died February 3, 2008 at Lakeview Memorial Hospital in Stillwater at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 4 days.
Bob is survived by his wife, Teresa; 2 sons, Donald Hanold of Minneapolis, Richard Hanold and Missy Anderson of Braham; 2 grandchildren, Paul and Starr; 3 brothers, Gary (Gwen) of Blaine, Gus of Wisconsin, Paul of Colorado; 2 sisters, Sandra (Frank) Phillips of North Carolina, Ruth (Matt) Deal of Texas; mother-in-law, Cleo Nelson of Braham; favorite aunt, Dwortz of Chicago; and by many other relatives and friends.

It’s to bad Uncle Bob got so sick so young. He was a neat Uncle. I remember the last time I saw him and you and him took us to Carbonne’s in Minneapolis to eat pizza. He was fun. I wish he could of stayed with us longer but sometimes when someone is so sick they lose their quality of life. I’m glad he was an Uncle to me. Keep your head up. Love you lots.

Dear Theresa;
I was the man who worked with Don Butler. I installed your large satellite dish for. In the few visits then and afterwards, i can say this;
That he was one of the nicest/kindest/loving gentlemen that i have ever met. He always had this kind and gentle humor about him. The both of you were so kind to us, yet all we were were a couple satellite installers.
If only the world was filled, with more beautiful people like yourselves, the world would be a far better place to live in.
I again thank you for both for your generosity and kindness.
I will sorely miss him also.

I’m so sorry to hear about Bob. I’ll always remember the good times we all had at the bowling alley, and coming to visit you guys at the farm (I remember Bob got a kick out of the fact that I was afraid of the cows.) :)

Aunt Teresa,
I just like to say from the time I got to know and see Uncle Bob it was a wonderful time for me to spend with him . I didnt get to see much of Uncle Bob but from what I did it was a special time with my uncle to whom i love and miss. I now have a new addition to my family (a lil girl)to which i wish could have known her great uncle. Uncle Bob was a wonderful and loving brother and uncle to whom one could never forget. We will miss him dearly and hell always be close to our hearts and in our minds.
