In Memory of Clark W. Tews
Clark William Tews, age 44, of rural Cambridge passed away as the result of an accident at his home on Friday, January 25, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 1st at Cambridge Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 31st at our Cambridge Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the funeral Friday at the church.
Clark William Tews was born November 8, 1963 at Cambridge, Minnesota to Herman and Ardythe Tews. He was raised in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1982. Clark built his home in rural Cambridge where he especially enjoyed raising horses and spending time outdoors. He loved nature and wildlife. Clark was a very gentle and caring person and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Clark Tews passed away as the result of an accident at his rural Cambridge home on Friday, January 25, 2008 at the age of 44 years, 2 months and 17 days. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Glendee and Anna May, and Rose and William Tews; and by a step-brother, Kevin Anderson.
Clark will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Cassandra (Jon) Gault and granddaughter, Lorah, of Isanti; mother, Ardythe Arnold of Apache Junction, Arizona; father, Herman (Diane) Tews of Zimmerman; brother, Brad Tews of Rush City; soul mate, Tammy Mann of Cambridge; two nieces, Jaci (Scott) Schloesser of New Brighton, and Josie Gust of Rush City; step-sister, Kelly (Rick) Hicks of Champlain; and by many other relatives and friends.
Clark was one of the kindest people I knew. The world is a sadder place without him in it. If you ever needed anything, he was there, without question. He never asked for anything, but when you were there for him, you could see in his eyes and his smile how much it meant to him. Most emotions went without words, but Clark was never without words otherwise, which is nice in a friend. Clark was a great friend to me in Cambridge, St. Cloud, and out here in Washington. We lost touch after he stopped having long haul runs out here. He would still call me for awhile from the east coast. The one thing I know, is how much he loved Cassie. She was a toddler when we became friends and he talked about her all the time and brought her around to show what a wonderful girl she was and after I had my son we would get them together at times and he was so proud! Even though we haven’t seen each other for about six years, I will miss knowing he is no longer here. My prayers and best wishes are with his daughter, granddaughter, partner and parents.
My deepest condolences go out to you and your family. I have been reflecting on the many times and laughter that Clark and I had in our high school years. Driving to fast in a baby blue chevy and his laughter will always be burned into my memory. God Bless. Paul
My deepest sympathy to Hermie and Diane Tews and the family of Clark Tews. Clark was a kind man and it saddens me to see his life shortened. I am reassured that he his now with Kevin and it’s a great feeling. Clark was there for myself and my daughters after we lost his step-brother. He did so much for me and I hope he knew it was greatly appreciated!

I have known clark for 6 years now and he was a very good friend to me. We had many many good times and shared many laughs together. He always called me “his little terrorist”. He would do anything for me as i would do anything for him and he was nice enough to let me use his horse “star” last year!!!We re-named her “big Mamma!!!” I love Clark dearly and i always will. I miss you clark…I know you are watching over me!!!!!

We will always cherish our friday night dinners at People’s Cafe and coffee times together over the years with Clark. We looked forward to our conversations with him and always enjoyed spending time together. He was a very kind and gentle person. We are richer for having known him. May God comfort you in your time of sorrow.
Our sweet “Superman” traded in his cape for a pair of wings -we will miss him dearly. His silly laugh, his goofy smile will stay with us always. We will never forget nor stop laughing about some of the fun times we shared with our Superman - the monkey in the tree, the eyebrow thing. All we can say is he was the best all around. We are so blessed to have him in our lives the short time that we did. Our deepest sympathy to Tammy and the entire family. Fly high Superman, we love you.
Clark’s mother is a very dear friend of mine. When I met Clark in Seattle, instantly, I noticed in you, a very cogenial, kind and loving person. Your mother always talked highly of you and family. Eugenia
There are truely no words to describe the heart felt sorry we feel since we heard of Clarks unfortunate death. He, his jokes, his laugh and pranks will be truely missed. He was a very giving and caring man. He did so much for us when we lost our daughter. He was there for us. We are better people having known him! He was truely a great friend. Dean & I are so glad we got to stop in and see his new house he built. He was so proud of that! We just know he is now an angel in heaven. The staples company won’t know what to do without him around. He had more staples put into his body than anyone I ever knew. When we think of him, a smile aways comes to our faces. We also want to extend our deepest sympathy to his family and loved ones. Know that we are praying for you all.

Time goes so fast. It has been at least 20 some years ago when we all camped at Mike and Gina’s lake cabin near Cambridge. We always had so much fun with Brad and his brother Clark. We are so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Brad & Jaci we love and miss you both. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Jim knew Clark from trucking, and I in turn met him through Jim. It’s not often you meet someone and instantly fall in love. His sparkling personality, his humorous stories, his open-hearted warmth, and kindness won us over instantly. One story could take an hour to tell, and leave you laughing til you cried. He had a ready ear to listen to your problems, a strong shoulder to cry on, and always some sound advice. Mentioning his family was something that he never failed to do. He was so proud of all and truly felt blessed. He will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Love to all.
I am in Iraq at the moment and heard the news of Clark through my mother. I can’t tell you had sad I am. I remember him well. He was a great guy. I would have wished for a chance to visit with him again. Why is it that the good die young. What a truly good man. I am thinking of you. My prayers are with the entire family.
I haven’t seen much of Clark since high school, but he was a blast. He would drive us girls to the fast food place, and we would buy him hamburgers for giving us a ride. He was one of the only people who had his driver’s license at that time. I didn’t find out about Clark’s death until a half an hour ago, and it is now the day of the funeral. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it. I knew Diane and Hermie through the Bohman family years ago, and my best wishes are with them.
Kim could not of said it better - fly high superman! Yes, he was a “super” man. His little boyish grin will always be remember. He was so playful and kind. Tammy my heart goes out to you and your family at this very difficult time. Let the loving memories carry you through knowing that Clark is now in the gentle,loving hands of God.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved son Clark. Although I never had the privlege of meeting him, I remember you talking about him fondly and some of your adventures together. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult of times.
Although we spent more years apart than together you have always been in my heart. The times we spent together are treasures that I will cherish forever. My children still remember when you rolled into town in your big rig one day. Thank you for remembering us, we will miss you Clark. Many prayers and our condolences to our family for this great loss. We are SO sorry o hear of your loss. Hold close your memories of him and find comfort there. I knew Brad and Clark back in High School. I was reading all the wonderful notes people have left, and it made me smile. Clark has made a lot of people laugh and smile and we will all remember that about him.
