Ann M. Blake
Ann Marie Blake, age 70, of Isanti passed away June 30, 2007 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 3rd at Dalbo Baptist Church with Pastor Randall Westerberg officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 2nd at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel and also 1 hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Interment will be in Dalbo Baptist Cemetery.
Ann Marie Blake was born November 11, 1936 at Bradford, Minnesota to Fred and Helga (Johnson) Elvine. She grew up in the rural Cambridge area and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1954. Ann moved to Minneapolis where she worked for Northwestern Bell. On March 2, 1957 Ann married Clyde Holland and they had three children, John, Shari and Gina. They made their home in the Princeton and Isanti area. Ann later worked at the Cambridge Star, retiring in 2004. On October 3, 1998 she married John Blake and they lived at Long Lake in rural Isanti. Ann enjoyed flower gardening, reading and she especially loved kitties and all animals. She was also an avid Vikings fan.
Ann Blake passed away June 30, 2007 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 19 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Helga Elvine, husband, John, daughter, Gina Holland, infant brother Freddie and her brother Robert Elvine.
Ann is survived by her son, John Holland (Jim Hartmeister) of White Bear Lake; daughter, Shari (Jim) Servaty of Dalbo; special friend, Donald Amundson of Princeton; three brothers, Willis Elvine (Shirley) of Milaca, Richard (Sherry) Elvine of Antioch, California, Steve (Deb) Elvine of Isanti; two sisters, Eloise (Richard) Johnson of Verndale, Norma Elvine (Bruce Knosalla) of Staples; two grandchildren, Cole Servaty and Tavia Holland; six step-children, Kathy Youngquist, Steven (Cara) Blake, Gary Blake, Barb (Tom) Ramacher, Brenda Marie (Robert) Dingman, and Terri (Greg) Falde; by her kitty and constant companion, Diddles; and by many other relatives and friends.
Ann’s passing has taken us all by complete surprise. What a shocking and unexpected turn of events. But I believe in God’s infinite Wisdom and He decided it was time to bring Ann home to be with those she loved who passed on her before her. What a joyous reunion in Heaven, that must have been! My father found a devoted life companion and wife, when he met Ann, and I am thankful for the few years they were able to share together. I was hoping to get Ann out for a visit here in Virginia at some point, but now that will never be. Such is the way life goes sometimes. I wish Ann’s immediate family, peace in their hearts and comfort in knowing that so many people cared about her.
